Families with Young Children Work Group:
The goal of the Families with Young Children Work Group is to identify the location of families with young children in the county and to determine if they are being provided the healthy food resources needed to sustain their families. We will accomplish this goal by building relationships with families with young children and ensuring that they have continued access to healthy food resources.
Transportation Work Group:
The goal of the Transportation Work Group within the Broome County Food Council is to support the strategic initiatives of the Food Access Plan developed by other work groups. This group will focus on addressing transportation barriers across the county by collaborating with Public Transit and other transportation organizations to enhance food access. A key focus will be on improving transportation options for both rural and urban areas to ensure equitable access to food resources.
